Meet the Team
Matt Casey — Lead Practitioner & Founder
Matt has spent more than 25 years mentoring young people and the last 10 years developing his practice in woodland settings. He is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and Designated Safeguarding Lead, and is currently completing the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Advanced Wilderness Therapeutic Approaches qualification.
His mentoring approach has developed through experience. He uses practical outdoor activities, camp skills and fieldcraft to help young people build confidence, cope with setbacks and develop a stronger sense of their own worth and capability.
Louise Grenier - Support Practitioner & Counsellor
Louise has a background in supporting young people through mentoring and person-centred counselling. She’s been part of the Canopy & Campfires team since the start, and is the founder of Through The Woods Counselling.
Louise has helped develop and run our unique ‘Campfire Counselling’ programme, and her approach offers a deeper and more therapeutic level of support.
Amy Callaghan - Support Practitioner & Woodland Arts & Crafts Specialist
Amy has been a freelance artist for a number of years, and brings her own unique and imaginative approach to Canopy & Campfires. As the founder of Pigs In Mud Studios, she has a history of leading on creative projects with young people and has helped design and deliver our Wilderness Wellbeing Arts & Crafts programme.
